TO-1 Maintain the existing primary and secondary road system at acceptable levels, working with VDOT, to promote regularly scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and safety of all public roads. TO-2 Maintain and protect the high scenic quality of roadways in Highland County. TO-3 Complete the already planned extensive sidewalk and street lighting network project between the new recreational center site and the Town of Monterey. TO-4 Encourage greater utilization of existing and future transportation infrastructure to meet the social and economic needs of the County. TO-5 Continue the development of the Central Shenandoah Bicycle Trail Plan. TO-6 Develop plans to respond to those in need of third party transportation. |
