HIGHLAND COUNTY OFFICIAL VOTING INFORMATION

The Constitution of Virginia requires that you must be registered in the precinct where you live to be qualified to vote.

The Voter Registration Office located at 97 Highland Center Dr. Modular C in Monterey is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Important Dates for the June 18, 2024 Republican Primary Election

There is NO Democratic Party Primary

Polls Open 6 AM - 7 PM

Friday, May 3, 2024:  No excuse early voting by mail and in-person begins for all registered voters

Tuesday, May 28, 2024: Last day to register to vote or update an existing registration by 5:00 pm or online by 11:59 pm.  After that date you can register the same day and vote a provisional ballot at the Office of the General Registrar through the early voting period or on Election Day, June 18, 2024, at your voting precinct.

Friday, June 7, 2024:  Last Day to request a mail ballot by 5:00 pm or online by 11:59 pm

Saturday, June 15, 2024:  Last Day for in-person early voting

Friday, June 21, 2024:  All Mailed Absentee voted ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and returned to the Highland County Voter Registration/Election Office by NOON (Virginia Time) to be counted.

**No excuse early voting in-person is accessible at the General Registrar’s Office**

**Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30-11:30 and 12:30-4:30**

**Special Saturday hours for in-person voting: June 8^th and June 15^th from 9:00-5:00**
